Handmade Exposed Spine Art Journal - Luna Moth No. 1

Midnight navy cotton fabric covers printed with blue luna moths, their wings marked with tiny crescent moons, drifting among indigo ferns, aqua crescent moons, and metallic silver starbursts. The spine is hand-sewn with blue variegated thread in a French link stitch and strung with white stone beads and multicolored glass beads. Lime green fabric hinges run along the spine. Inside, you’ll find deep blue watercolor end papers.

96 pages of white mixed media paper, left blank so you can paint, sketch, or collage. Small enough to carry and tough enough to travel.

This Book Is Great For: Pen, pencil, charcoal, markers, ink, gouache, acrylic, and light watercolor washes all work well here. You can also press herbs and flowers in it, or use it as a grimoire to track your potionmaxxing. The paper has enough weight and tooth to handle wet media, so a little water won’t hurt it. If you go heavy with the water, expect some gentle waving as it dries.
