Handmade Exposed Spine Art Journal - Pink Dragon Scales

Wine-colored cotton fabric covers layered with dragon scales in magenta, red, and coral, with metallic gold scales scattered throughout. The spine is hand-sewn with magenta thread in a French link stitch and strung with gold metal beads, white stone beads, pink glass beads, and pink and gold metallic beads.The dragon scale fabric continues onto the hinges along the spine. Inside, you’ll find cream end papers scattered with gold foil stars.

This Book Is Great For: Pen, pencil, charcoal, markers, ink, gouache, acrylic, and light watercolor washes all work well here. You can also press herbs and flowers in it, or use it as a grimoire to track your potionmaxxing. The paper has enough weight and tooth to handle wet media, so a little water won’t hurt it. If you go heavy with the water, expect some gentle waving as it dries.
