Handmade Exposed Spine Mini Sketchbook - Woodland Hares

Dove gray paper covers printed with a mirrored woodland scene in engraved charcoal and metallic copper foil: hares, squirrels, owls, swallows, moths, a little robin, acorns, berries, and oak leaves. The spine is hand-sewn with variegated orange thread in a French link stitch and strung with amber and gold glass beads, with dark brown woven ribbon tucked behind. Chocolate brown paper hinges run along the spine. Inside, you’ll find solid chocolate brown end papers.

144 pages of white sketch paper in a book about the size of your palm. Use it as a pocket sketchbook, a travel doodle book, or a tiny grimoire for your familiar. Small enough for a coat pocket, a purse, or a very organized altar.

No two books in the bindery are exactly alike, and once a book is gone it won’t be made again. The book you see in the picture is the book you’ll receive.

This Book Is Great For: Dry media like pen, pencil, charcoal, and fountain pens. Quick sketches, sigils, spell notes, tarot pulls, and keeping track of whatever your familiar knocked off the table today. This paper doesn't like getting wet and a splash will make the pages warp. Soaked, the paper itself will start to break down. The binding will hold up fine, but the pages won’t stand a chance.

  • Binding: Hybrid Coptic style with an exposed spine, made to lie flat with a case-style paper hinge for added durability.
  • Dimensions: 3 × 4 inches (about the size of your palm)
  • Paper: 70 lb (100 gsm) white sketch paper
  • Pages: 144
  • Cover: Decorative paper over board
